About The Position

The Quality Control Inspector / QAQC Technician plays a critical role in ensuring construction, fabrication, welding, piping, and mechanical work meets customer requirements, industry codes, project specifications, and company quality standards. This position supports successful project execution through field inspections, quality assurance activities, documentation management, and collaboration with project teams to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality industrial construction projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in industrial construction, fabrication, mechanical construction, or QA/QC inspection.
• Knowledge of industrial construction practices and quality inspection methods.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and related project documents.
• Ability to complete inspection reports, quality documentation, and project records accurately.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem identification capabilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field-based construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of welding, piping, mechanical systems, structural components, and fabrication work to verify compliance with project specifications, customer requirements, quality procedures, and applicable industry codes.
• Review drawings, specifications, inspection test plans, and project documentation.
• Identify and document nonconforming work.
• Assist with corrective actions.
• Verify material traceability.
• Participate in audits and testing activities.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and turnover documentation.
