About The Position

Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual for the Quality Control Supervisor position in our Southern Virginia operations. The position will be based out of Roanoke, VA. The potential candidates for this role must be a proven leader, have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to: Oversee the quality control functions at 3 quarries, and 1 specialty products location. Responsible for implementing quality control standards and overseeing the inspection of production output to ensure compliance with customer specifications. Developing Quality Control Technicians and monitoring their work. Evaluating and recommending the resources necessary to meet our quality goals. Assist in maintaining permits with environmental agencies. A variety of other important tasks and duties as needed and assigned.

Requirements

• Demonstrable knowledge of Asphalt and Aggregate testing and design procedures.
• Proficient in blending aggregates and asphalt to specifications to conform to VDOT requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to work with senior management to accelerate the improvement and differentiation of existing products.
• Proven ability to supervise, train, and develop Quality Control Technicians.
• 3-5 years of experience dealing with aggregates and asphalt required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Technology or related field of study preferred.
• An Associate’s degree and/or 3-5 years of direct industry experience will be considered.
• 3+ years of experience managing Quality Control labs and overseeing multiple facilities is preferred.
• Certifications in Soils & Aggregate Testing preferred.
