About The Position

We are currently seeking a QAQC Advisor to join our Maintenance Engineering & Reliability Team in Long Harbour, NL. This is a permanent on-site position, working a 4x10s Monday to Thursday schedule at the Long Harbour Operations site in Long Harbour, NL. As a QAQC Advisor you will assist with the overall management of the Quality Program, procedures, documentation, and records. Your experience and skills will ensure proper review and acceptance of contractor’s QC program including verification of effective QC program implementation through conducting quality surveillance and audits. Additionally, in this position you will: Be committed to the goal of Zero Harm to people, the workplace, our community, and the environment. Commit to reducing risk to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) to prevent injury or production loss. Liaison with planning and scheduling as it relates to QA/QC. Complete in-service equipment inspection assessments as per our O.U.P. to identify equipment condition and prepare inspection and repair reports on findings. Inspection of new construction/fabrication and repair/alteration of in-service pressure/process equipment, process piping and structural components as well as coordinate and manage specific plant equipment QA systems and records. Assist maintenance in repair strategies by assessing the equipment's condition and necessary repairs, issuing repair requests to, co-developing welding repair and general repair strategies with engineering and supporting the successful management of equipment integrity. Support the warehouse in their quality control program in regards to verifying and inspecting material as per purchase orders and verify proper storage, preservation, maintenance of all received material and equipment. Review Contractor's QC Program and documentation, verifying procedures, ITPs, etc.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a hands-on technical experience with maintenance work/supervision in a complex industrial environment is required.
  • Knowledge of Service NL, Public Safety Act
  • Excellent organization, communication (written and oral), as well as interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong positive relationships across multiple work groups
  • Quality Auditing experience based on ISO 9001-2000/ISO 19011 standards

Nice To Haves

  • Preference may be given to an Engineering Technologist diploma.
  • Certifications in C.Tech or C.E.T., API 510, API 570, API 653, NBIC, and/or Level 2 CWB is preferred.
  • Previous experience in QAQC is preferred.
  • Previous SAP experience would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating maintenance work planning activities an asset.
