The QAE Inspector interprets plans, specifications, and statements of work and reviews project activities and monitors progress in the field. This position requires the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time. The QAE Inspector tracks contractual milestones and reporting requirements to ensure project conformance. Requirements

  • 3 Years of Construction experience in all phases of construction
  • Specific knowledge of civil engineering principles, related to design, construction, and management of vertical and horizontal projects and including operations, safety, quality control, scheduling and costs.
  • Experience providing regulatory support and knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements associated with construction, and remediation projects.
  • Ability to communicate, monitor, and coordinate multiple regulatory requirements and milestones with the customer and other stakeholders.
  • Experienced working knowledge of civil and environmental engineering concepts, principles, and practices.
  • Ability to manage project team resources, consisting of QA managers, safety personnel, and contractors.
  • Ability to review and provide comments on contractor submittmits including work plans, quality control & testing plans, health and safety plans, project schedule, warranty, and operations and maintenance manuals for compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to: hard hats, steel toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection.
  • Must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness.

Nice To Haves

  • If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews project activities and monitors progress in the field.
  • Interprets plans, specifications, and statements of work in order to resolve any unanticipated problems during project execution and provides advice on problem resolution.
  • Tracking contractual milestones and reporting requirements to ensure project conformance.
  • Reviews and offers advice to the COR on contractor pay requests and payrolls.
  • Reviews contractor Quality Control Plan and provide comments to ensure compliance with approved Quality Control Program.
  • Requires knowledge of or the ability to utilize government systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
