About The Position
This role is for a QA Tester with a duration of 12+ months. The position is primarily remote with some occasional onsite meetings required. The working hours are Monday-Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Flexible work from home options are available.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology
- Exposure to programming in 3rd generation languages
- Knowledge of software design patterns
- 5 to 7 years of experience as a tester for IT projects
- Experience in NIEM XML or another complex XML Standard
- Experience with testing web services manually using Soap UI/Postman
- An ability to understand the complexity of a large integrated system and to trace problems to their source
- Experience with SOA technologies
- Experience in scripting complex SQL queries (Microsoft SQL server)
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Proficient in core programming languages – C# or Java
- Sound knowledge on automation reporting tools like Extent Reports
- Proven experience in data driven automation testing
- Sound knowledge on GitHub
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of IBM Rational Jazz Suite
Responsibilities
- Test web services manually using Soap UI/Postman.
- Understand the complexity of a large integrated system and trace problems to their source.
- Work cooperatively with other Team Members including Team Leader/Manager, Developers, Testers, Designers and others.
