As a QA Test Engineer at Expion, you will be the person who makes sure what we ship actually works. You will sit inside an agile delivery team and own the testing that stands between a good idea and a client relying on it every day. This is hands-on work. You will execute functional, regression, integration, and data validation testing across our pharmacy platform, dig into healthcare payor data to prove it is right, and catch the defects before anyone else does. You will not sit on the sidelines writing plans no one reads. You will be in the product, testing it, pushing on it, and helping the team make it better. You will work shoulder to shoulder with developers, product managers, and analysts, and report to our Quality & Release Manager. Requirements

An Associate's degree with 3 or more years of software testing experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 1 to 2 years.
Hands-on testing experience in healthcare payor environments, including claims, eligibility, provider data, and adjudication.
Strong data testing skills, with real command of SQL and the validation of large datasets.
Familiarity with agile delivery frameworks and a solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Experience with test management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, and the discipline to keep quality front and center under shifting priorities.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to test automation tools like Selenium or Playwright.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
A track record supporting QA activities in fast-moving agile delivery environments.
Curiosity that keeps you learning new tools and staying current with where QA is heading.

Responsibilities

Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing with accuracy and consistency across every sprint.
Translate user stories and acceptance criteria into clear, testable scenarios, and validate functionality against what was actually asked for.
Develop and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data that the whole team can rely on.
Perform data testing across healthcare payor data, including claims, eligibility, provider, and benefits.
Run SQL-based validation and source-to-target comparisons to prove large datasets are correct, not just present.
Use test management tools to track execution and keep full traceability from requirement to result.
Log defects with clear, actionable documentation and partner with developers to drive them to resolution.
Participate fully in agile ceremonies, from standups to sprint reviews to retrospectives.
Bring feedback that makes QA processes and team workflows better, and support quality metrics and reporting as the team needs it.
Take on other work as needed to support the broader goals of the team and the company.
