About The Position

FMH is seeking a QA Test Analyst to evaluate and test software programs on small initiatives or on a small volume of system requests to verify that the system functions, both functionally and technically, according to specifications, and identifies any discrepancies.

Requirements

  • At least one to three years of software testing or user acceptance testing experience.
  • Associate’s degree required.
  • Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Good communication skills important (both written and verbal).
  • Demonstrates good analytical thinking with a great attention to detail.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs especially Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Business and system domain knowledge preferred.
  • Knowledge of testing processes and methodologies extremely helpful.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Computer Science preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Works with other experienced QA testers and the development team to understand the requirements, scope, and objectives for any new or modified functionality within the system.
  • Assists in the development of test plans for each individual component of the system or system enhancements.
  • Creates new or modifies existing test scripts, based upon the business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Executes test scripts to ensure compliance with business requirements, functional requirements, and specified quality characteristics and documents results by recording the issue in the bug-tracking system.
  • Works with experienced QA testers or developers to troubleshoot/resolve testing issues.
  • Debugs, and re-tests all components of the system or system enhancement, reporting and documenting all outcomes and test conditions.
  • Participates and assists with the test plan/test case review with the business and development team.
  • Reports and documents all outcomes and test conditions within the test case and testing tool.
