About The Position

The QA Technician is an individual contributor role responsible for performing routine quality checks and audits on production, the dock, and the facility. This role involves reviewing and ensuring the correct completion of QA/HACCP paperwork across all production departments. The technician will interact with various team members in management, QA, and production, as well as government officials and third-party contractors. A key aspect of this role is understanding and implementing appropriate safety procedures through education, training, use of protective equipment, and adherence to safety policies and regulations. The position also requires the ability to develop and maintain databases as needed and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Competence in QA transactions, in SAP, Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Understanding of GMP’s, SSOP’s, and HACCP principles.

Nice To Haves

  • 0-1 years of experience in related field is preferred.
  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Review QA/HACCP paperwork used in all production departments and fill out correctly.
  • Interact with and communicate with various team members in management, QA, and production as well as government officials, and 3rd party contractors.
  • Perform all QA Tech responsibilities for routine quality checks, and audits on production, the dock, and the facility.
  • Develop and maintain databases as needed.
  • Perform QA sampling and testing methods.
  • Understand the processes and methods involved in food production.
  • Understand and place in practice appropriate safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
