The QA Technician is responsible for assuring that safe and quality foods are produced by attending and participating in production transitions, SDWT events/projects and QA Tech transitions. This role involves conducting and recording HACCP checks, adhering to certification body requirements (Organic, Kosher, SQF, Non-GMO), and collecting samples for third-party tests. The technician will perform various checks including processing, bar line, packaging CPC, and sanitation checks, as well as all quality control tests in accordance with established standards. They will ensure production and process steps meet company and regulatory requirements, report variances, and hold items that fail to meet standards. Maintaining accurate records, ensuring GMPs are followed, and documenting parameters during R&D runs are also key responsibilities. Additionally, the role requires practicing and performing according to established safety practices, abiding by all safety regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and following the Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) program. This includes knowing the location and use of MSDS, and understanding required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and cleaning chemicals.
