As a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician (Night Shift), you will ensure proper functioning of quality operation aspects such as ingredient management and receiving, formulation, product quality and safety, hold product management, release criteria, net contents, and sensory program. You will provide technical support for the factory in regard to all quality aspects during production while upholding safety and quality standards. The role will be on night shift, 6pm-6am, operating on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6+ months experience working in food quality, food manufacturing, health facility or related fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee process to ensure products produced in the factory adhere to the standards of quality and food safety.
  • Lead operational support and improvement activities for the quality stream including but not limited to QA checks, problem solving, project implementation, and standard creation, revision, and implementation.
  • Act as the shift Champion for Quality and serves as the QA technical expert for their area of responsibility. Provide related coaching to all associates.
  • Lead and support the hold management process, status control and final disposition. Conduct sampling and testing of hold product.
  • Lead daily sensory product program. Maintain finished product reference samples and photo standards.
  • Support the factory’s main laboratory and satellite laboratories including equipment upkeep, calibration, internal control plans, and training.
  • Maintain QA programs including but not limited to Quality Collaboratives, References and Proficiency samples.
