About The Position
The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure raw product meets specification prior to being processed for its assigned use. This role involves monitoring and documenting critical quality and safety procedures, conducting various quality checks, and communicating any deviations to supervisors. The position requires basic math and computer skills, and the ability to perform physical tasks associated with quality control in a production environment.
Requirements
- Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic math and computer skills required.
- Must pass a math test.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and document HACCP and SSOPs.
- Monitor and document GMPs.
- Calibrate scales daily.
- Conduct appropriate quality checks and rechecks as specified by the type of raw product.
- Perform metal detector checks to identify foreign material.
- Perform verification on finished product, packaging and labeling.
- Calculate ratios and defects percentages.
- Communicate with supervisors upon discovery of out-of-specification products, and follow established procedure for handling out-of-specification products.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by customer or client.
