QA Technician - First Shift

About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance to quality and food safety requirements and will work directly with QA management. The job is an individual contributor with no direct reports. The QA Technician will review QA/HACCP paperwork, perform routine quality checks and audits, and develop databases as needed. This role requires understanding food production processes, safety procedures, and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment.

Requirements

0-1 years of experience in related field is preferred.
Competence in QA transactions, in SAP, Excel, Word and Outlook.
Understanding of GMP’s, SSOP’s, and HACCP principles.
High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required.

Responsibilities

Review QA/HACCP paperwork used in all production departments and fill out correctly.
Interact with and communicate with various team members in management, QA, and production as well as government officials, and 3rd party contractors.
Perform all QA Tech responsibilities for routine quality checks, and audits on production, the dock, and the facility.
Develop and maintain databases as needed.
Perform QA sampling and testing methods.
Understand the processes and methods involved in food production.
Understand and place in practice appropriate safety procedures through education, training, use of protective equipment, and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
Perform other duties as assigned.
