Summary The QA Technician - Slitter supports production operations by assisting with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repair activities, and operational support to help ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing performance. This role provides hands-on experience working with production equipment while receiving training and mentorship from experienced technicians. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and interested in building a long-term career in manufacturing maintenance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year of manufacturing, maintenance, industrial, mechanical, or technical experience preferred.
  • Experience working with tools, machinery, or production equipment is a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment maintenance.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review production schedules and job requirements to prepare for daily assignments.
  • Assist with operating, maintaining, and supporting slitter equipment.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and equipment repairs.
  • Help install, calibrate, and adjust machine components as needed.
  • Use hand tools and mechanical equipment to repair or replace components.
  • Support equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production teams and maintenance personnel to resolve equipment issues.
  • Complete maintenance documentation and production records accurately.
  • Record labor and materials in company systems.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs.
  • Follow safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
