QA Tech & Inspector

KMW LTDSterling, KS
Onsite

About The Position

At KMW, we build agricultural equipment that has to work — out in the field, mile after mile, season after season. That means quality isn’t a checkbox. It’s a mindset. And we’re looking for someone who gets that. You’ll be the last line of defense — and the first set of eyes — on the manufacturing floor. Your day-to-day will include: Conducting in-process and final inspections across welding, paint, and assembly operations Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints to verify product specifications and tolerances Identifying defects, troubleshooting root causes, and making recommendations to fix them Managing the MRB (Material Review Board) process — tracking, reporting, and resolving rejected or rework items Approving outbound products via visual inspections, QC checklists, and functional operation Maintaining calibration of measurement equipment and cameras Collecting quality data, building trend charts, and posting results to the KPI board Creating and updating work instructions and forms tied to our ISO quality system Supporting internal ISO 9001 audits and documentation.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of manufacturing quality or inspection experience
  • Can read a blueprint and know what GD&T means
  • Detail-obsessed — the kind of person who notices the thing everyone else walks past
  • Communicate clearly when something’s wrong (because staying quiet isn’t an option)
  • Proficient in MS Office and comfortable learning new systems (we use Keyence and an ERP)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
