About The Position

The Quality Assurance Specialist II is responsible for ensuring product quality, process compliance, and operational efficiency within the manufacturing environment. This role supports and leads quality assurance activities during assigned shifts, coordinates inspections and testing, and ensures palletizing and finished goods processes meet internal standards and regulatory requirements. The position serves as a key link between quality, production, and warehouse teams to ensure work is completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with applicable standards. Duties and responsibilities In addition to the responsibilities outlined below, the QA Specialist II is expected to competently perform all essential functions of the QA Specialist I position and provide support across the Quality department as operational needs require.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment, preferably in a role involving quality control, production coordination, or warehouse management.
  • Familiarity with quality control principles and regulatory requirements in the manufacturing industry, particularly in the production of nitrile gloves, is desirable.
  • Ability to meticulously inspect pallets for quality and accuracy, ensuring finished products meet company standards and customer expectations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively coordinating with cross-functional teams and documenting palletizing processes.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems related to palletizing processes, including solving technical problems and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, ensuring palletizing schedules are met without compromising quality or efficiency.
  • Collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing production demands and priorities, adjusting palletizing programs and processes as needed to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as shift lead to organize and assign quality-related tasks, ensuring all inspections, testing, and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor shift performance, provide direction and support to team members, and promptly escalate quality or production issues as needed.
  • Conduct testing on samples to evaluate physical properties, documenting results accurately and thoroughly.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, tests, and quality assurance processes; prepare reports for management on quality performance and compliance.
  • Identify and investigate non-conformance issues, working collaboratively with teams to develop corrective actions and preventive measures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, recommending changes to processes, procedures, and quality standards to enhance product quality.
  • Ensure that all quality assurance activities comply with relevant industry standards and regulations such as ASTM.
  • Assist in training employees on quality assurance protocols and best practices, promoting a culture of quality throughout the organization.
  • Work closely with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to address quality issues and support product development.
  • Ensure the palletizing processes meet the quality standards set by American Nitrile and regulatory authorities. This includes inspecting pallets for proper stacking, weight distribution (per ISTA 3E for medical device shipping), and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with production teams to schedule pallet purchases, ensuring finished goods are palletized quickly and efficiently to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Keep accurate records of pallet purchases, including pallet counts, product specifications, and any deviations from quality standards. This documentation is essential for quality control and regulatory compliance purposes.
  • Identify and address any issues or inefficiencies in the palletizing process, working closely with production, quality control, and maintenance teams to implement solutions and improvements.
  • Serve as a liaison between production, warehouse, and shipping teams to ensure smooth coordination and communication regarding palletizing requirements and schedules.
  • Provide training and guidance to palletizing operators to ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices.
  • Proactively look for opportunities to optimize palletizing processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency by adopting new technologies or process improvements.
