About The Position

Under the supervision of the refurb supervisor or Lead, the repair tech will receive, repair and/or assemble product to the best of their abilities within all refurb areas. This role involves determining and retrieving the correct group of merchandise to be repaired, examining product from various refurb departments (Refurb, Fans, Furniture) to diagnose problems and identify solutions, and repairing product to the highest possible quality level. The technician will also troubleshoot items, think creatively for the best possible fix, manage time effectively, cut glass for repairs, and inspect all refurb product for completeness and disposition. Other duties may be assigned by supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Warehouse safety procedures including safe lifting techniques
• Use basic hand held tools (Screwdriver, Flat head, Hex keys, Wire cutters)
• Computer skills Microsoft office / outlook
• Use of power tools (Drill gun, Heat gun, Air compressor, Staple gun)
• Ability to Interact with supervisors and management personnel
• Work in a team environment to support common goals
• Read and write English legibly
• Work with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to be creative
• Detailed oriented
• Problem solver
• Regular attendance at the distribution facility is required
• Capable to work overtime when needed
• Ability to continuously lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Work in extreme temperature environments

Responsibilities

• Determines & retrieves correct group of merchandise to be repaired or received first
• Examines product from all the refurb departments; Refurb, Fans, Furniture to determine problem and possible solutions for repair
• Repairs product from all refurb departments to the highest possible (original) quality level and tests to ensure it is in working order
• Troubleshoots all refurb items and thinks outside the box towards best possible fix and time management
• Cuts glass into required sizes in attempt to repair product
• Inspection of all refurb product to ensure its complete and determine disposition
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/lead/manager
