About The Position

The QA Receiving Inspector is responsible for inspecting all parts and materials received from suppliers or customers before further processing. This role involves verifying quantities, traceability information, and ensuring materials meet Hunting and customer requirements. The inspector will also initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for any non-conforming materials or processes.

Requirements

• Ability to verify correct quantity and traceability information (work order number, sales order number, Hunting purchase order number, part number, heat number, and joint number).
• Ability to verify and record traceability information on the process router and receiving inspection report.
• Ability to inspect parts and material for damage.
• Ability to inspect raw material for compliance with purchase orders and process router requirements.
• Ability to verify material dimensions (OD for tubing, bar and bored bar; ID for tubing and bored bar).
• Ability to initiate NCR’s for non-conforming material or processes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all parts and material received from suppliers or customers before further processing.
• Verify correct quantity and traceability information including but not limited to: work order number, sales order number, Hunting purchase order number, part number, heat number, and joint number.
• Verify and record all traceability information on the process router and receiving inspection report.
• Inspect parts and or material for damage that may prevent conformance with Hunting and/or Customer requirements.
• Inspect raw material for compliance with the Hunting purchase order and requirements on the process router.
• Verify material dimensions including OD for tubing, bar and bored bar; ID for tubing and bored bar.
• Initiate NCR’s for any material or processes that do not conform to relevant specifications or standards.
