About The Position

This role reports to the Quality Manager. The primary objective is to understand and meet customer expectations and requirements of part and process inspection. Working safely, wearing PPE, and following safety processes is a condition of employment at ITW Heartland.

Requirements

Technical School graduate in Machine Shop or Machine Tool design or equivalent or a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing setting preferred.
Ability to use various inspection equipment.
Experience reading blue prints and understand the geometric tolerance system.
Understand equipment calibration system.
Part and process inspection.
Prepares required inspection documentation.
Regular and consistent attendance.
Good communication skills.
Able to work within a team.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Inspect parts and process using a variety of inspection methods and equipment.
Assist with the scheduling of the calibration of inspection equipment.
Operate all necessary inspection equipment and may assist in programming.
Plan own work to meet requirements of production schedule.
Meet all standards set forth by company QMS (Quality Management System).
Handle all defective parts per QMS MRB procedures.
Complete all necessary paper work in a timely manner.
Assist with first article inspection and documentation requirements per AS9102.
Provide assistance with customer source inspections.
Participate in business QRB as assigned.
May be asked to direct the work of others to expedite parts flow and provide training as needed.
Communicate with supervisor, managers, CSRs, customers, and suppliers.
Work within a team.
Perform all work within ISO protocol.
Follow safety and good housekeeping practices.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
