This role is for a QA/QC Technician who must be safety oriented and align with Thorpe's safety culture. The position requires knowledge of various fabrication processes including catalyzed, mixed resins, grinding/surface preparation, layup, and rollout. Additionally, the technician will need to understand basic pipe squaring, cutting, fitting, and 2-holing of spools, as well as the application of resins according to specifications. Familiarity with thermoplastics and dual laminate is also necessary. The technician will be responsible for quality control of all shop fabrication, ensuring compliance with specifications and drawings, and creating necessary QC documents. Maintaining an up-to-date record of all calibrated equipment in the shop is also a key responsibility.
