About The Position

We are seeking an experienced QA/QA Inspector to support construction, maintenance, and turnaround activities within oil, gas, and chemical facilities. The QA/QA Inspector will ensure all welding activities comply with applicable codes, specifications, client requirements, and safety standards. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) – current
Minimum 5 years welding inspection experience in oil, gas, or chemical facilities
Working knowledge of AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, ASME B31.3/B31.1, API 1104
Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy materials
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong communication and documentation skills
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant industry experience in refining, petrochemical, chemical, or similar industrial settings.
A valid Driver’s License and a TWIC Card.
Must pass safety training, drug screening, and background checks

Nice To Haves

Additional certifications (API 510, API 570, API 653, or NACE)
Turnaround and brownfield project experience
Refinery and chemical plant owner/user experience

Responsibilities

Perform visual inspection of welds in accordance with AWS, ASME, API, and client specifications
Verify WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications (WPQ)
Monitor welding activities for compliance with approved procedures
Review and interpret drawings, isometrics, and welding symbols
Document inspection results and prepare daily reports, NCRs, and punch lists
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and client representatives
Witness and verify NDE activities (RT, UT, MT, PT)
Ensure adherence to site safety and regulatory requirements
Support audits, client inspections, and quality surveillance
