About The Position

This position operates laboratory equipment, acts as a liaison between manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering; works on continual improvement projects, CTRs, NSTRs, Process Audits and assist with product development; assist with inventory, trains operators and fills in for other operators when needed. May function as lead when supervisor is absent.

Requirements

High school Diploma or GED
Career Readiness Certification (CRC)
Must have qualifications in both 2801 and 2901 QA labs
Must be self-directed and possess strong analytical skills and communication skills.
Must have a working knowledge of SAP.
3-5 years’ experience in the manufacturing of control and instrumentation cable or power cable laboratory setting.
Leadership training
Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word)
Must be knowledgeable of Laboratory Equipment

Responsibilities

Seeks to continually improve test processes (Root Cause Analysis, Correction and Preventions)
Implement critical knowledge transfer and communication processes with operators.
Responsible for management and coordination of all testing activities including Routine Testing, NSTRs, Raw Material, etc.
Coaches and supports team whenever needed.
Responsible for creating CTRs, conducting Process Audits and Internal Audits
Provides continuous review and recommendations for improvement of processes related to QA
Understand various Calibration functions.
Work with UL inspector monthly to ensure that we are in compliance.
Create Purchase Requisitions when new tooling or equipment is needed.
Assist in new Hire Orientation (Measuring Devices Section).
Conduct production qualifications
Perform routine testing in both labs when needed
Provide verbal or written information to others
Maintain a good attendance and punctuality record
Follow all safety rules and maintain housekeeping in area of responsibility
Work well with others
