About The Position

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for analysis of raw materials using the FTIR, pH meter, pycnometer, melting point apparatus, etc. and completion of required documentation. Job Functions Conduct analysis of bulk and finished products utilizing instruments such as the viscometer, pH meter, pycnometer, penetrometer, and related equipment, ensuring all required documentation is accurately completed. ·Prepare and issue release documentation for raw materials and bulk products. · Perform Job Receipt and Job Closure activities within the Sypro system. · Carry out laboratory audits of production lines and complete all corresponding documentation. · Calibrate required laboratory equipment in accordance with established procedures. · Audit batch cards to ensure accuracy and compliance. · Compiling and organizing all documentation associated with the batch cards. · Generate and issue reject reports for batches and raw materials within the Unipoint system. · Perform inspections of equipment required for batching and production. · Label incoming raw materials in compliance with GHS labeling requirements. · Collects laboratory samples, including microbiological, bulk, and raw material samples. · Prepares and submits microbiological samples for testing. · Support batch remediation by evaluating batch failures and assisting in identifying corrective actions to resolve batching errors. · Label totes and drums prepared for shipment to TPM in accordance with established requirements. · Work overtime, including Saturdays, as business needs require. · Assist in training new employees to ensure proper onboarding and competency in departmental procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in a scientific discipline.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments within the parameters of given instructions, prescribed routines, and established standard practices.
  • No professional certifications or licenses are required for this position.
  • Must be able to read and write English and perform basic mathematical calculations.
