About The Position

As a Warehouse Associate QA Inspector, you are expected to have the basic comprehension of what your role is within the department, and what goals are needed to achieve daily. It also includes, but not limited to proper training of equipment within your job role assigned, such as inspect and evaluate finished goods to verify that they are constructed, manufactured, and they can function as designed and according to specifications. Inspection is based on conformance best practices for footwear. The role also may also include knowledge and use of the CAJA robotic system, Semi-Automatic and Semi-Automatic Tapers, Panda, Reject Lane, IBOD, Sanitation, Picking, Packing, and RF gun will be provided to you to help you succeed in your role. With this, you will also understand how to work under safety guidelines that will keep you safe. This comprehension entails being able to take daily direction from your leadership team with an understanding of how your role impacts other departments within the warehouse. This is an entry level position for those with little to no warehouse experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to write and read simple correspondence
  • Ability to learn to operate RF Scanner
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, bend, stand and walk repeatedly
  • Ability to apply common sense and carry out instructions.
  • Ability to understand all functions through training.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures
  • Ability to comprehend basic math.
  • Highly motivated, a team-player, and self-starter
  • Able to work overtime and holidays on as needed basis
  • Able to work in a sense of urgency and or fast paced environment
  • Able to utilize and work safely with corrugate

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and evaluate finished goods to verify that they are constructed, manufactured, and they can function as designed and according to specifications.
  • Verifies quality standards and test procedures for product evaluation to attain quality.
  • Reviews new or modified specifications including documentation, diagram and flow chart to determine if finished goods will perform according to the Company’s standards and conform to guidelines.
  • Recommends corrections to Receiving Supervisor/production.
  • Enters instructions into computer to test program for validity of results, accuracy, reliability and conformance to establishment standards.
  • Identifies differences between established standards for all brands.
  • Identifies the quality control problem and immediately informs Production Coordinator and Receiving Supervisor and documents the source and type of quality control problem.
  • General housekeeping of warehouse/department and maintains a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Cross-training in other functions/departments as needed.
  • Identify, call out and fix everyday safety concerns/hazards in your areas.
  • Clearly document and communicate any safety concerns/hazards to Leadership and LP/Safety and Training Team.
  • Foster a safety culture and address in the moment any safety concerns/hazards with fellow work associates.
  • Stay up to date with all safety topics via Leadership and safety boards.
  • Follow all safety procedures from on-boarding and safety procedures and practices from your departments.
