Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must meet the ITAR definition of §120.15 U.S. person.
  • 2+ years of prior experience with final inspections of aerospace/gas turbine components required.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate information to others verbally and in writing in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a Quality System certified to ISO9001, AS9100, or Nadcap a plus.
  • Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, aerospace industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Following all policies and procedures associated with the various parts and equipment for which they will be trained and certified to operate.
  • Loading and unloading parts to meet production demands.
  • Inspecting parts using various precision measuring tools.
  • Accepting or rejecting parts based on their quality.
  • Communicating any changes, both verbally and in writing.
  • Analyzing and interpreting Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications.
  • Verifying conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications visually and using hard gauge precision measuring tools such as borescopes, rulers, calipers, gauges, micrometers.
  • Interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances to complete inspection as required.
  • Performing final inspection on parts as required.
  • Verifying the proper completion of paperwork.
  • Checking the status of non-conformances and processing them accordingly.
  • Documenting actions by updating control charts, travelers, and reporting labor in the ERP system.
  • Performing under AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP accreditation.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.
  • Following all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE.
  • Accomplishing organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
  • Effective communication and people skills to maintain a working relationship with Quality, Engineering, and Management.
  • Dependability, integrity, cooperation, and taking the initiative for work responsibilities and challenges are critical.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and self-direct.
