About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic data entry systems.
  • Solid math skills, including basic arithmetic and percentages.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, as needed to support production schedules.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in quality assurance, food manufacturing, or laboratory testing preferred
  • certification in quality control is an asset
  • Understanding of quality control principles, sampling methods, and testing techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts pre-operational and operational inspections of sanitation and plant conditions; documents findings and reports any concerns to Production Supervisor and Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Samples and evaluates finished products to verify quality, grading, and compliance with specifications.
  • Performs in-process checks, including analytical and organoleptic evaluations, to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Monitors and records packaging attributes such as fill weight, seal integrity, and product coding accuracy.
  • Ensures all quality and production data are accurately recorded and maintained.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and housekeeping standards.
  • Follows all safety procedures and participates in promoting a culture of workplace safety.
  • Upholds and enforces company policies and procedures related to food safety, legality, and quality, including but not limited to GMPs, HACCP, food security, and product quality standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
