About The Position

We are seeking a QA Functional Lead with strong expertise in functional testing, banking applications, and Agile environments. The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading QA initiatives, mentoring team members, and driving quality best practices across teams. This role involves working closely with stakeholders, validating complex business requirements, and ensuring high-quality software releases across web, mobile, and integrated systems. A proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence quality decisions throughout the software development lifecycle are essential. Experience within financial services and mobile banking environments is highly valued, as well as the ability to guide teams and promote a strong quality culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • Strong experience in Functional Testing.
  • Experience testing Web, Mobile, and API-based applications.
  • Experience validating end-to-end business processes.
  • Experience working with Jira and defect management processes.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Basic SQL knowledge.
  • Experience working in Banking or Financial Services environments.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or guiding QA teams and quality initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to influence and guide technical teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Mobile Banking applications is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Design and execute functional test cases across web, mobile, and API-based solutions.
  • Validate end-to-end business processes and critical business rules.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and quality planning activities.
  • Guide QA best practices and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor team members and provide leadership across QA activities.
  • Act as a quality leader and trusted advisor within the team.
  • Support high-quality releases across banking and digital channels.
