About The Position

Build your QA career at an established software company entering a new phase of private-equity-backed growth. Join a small team, learn from an experienced QA lead, and take visible ownership of software quality—with room to grow toward senior QA responsibility as your skills and impact develop. This is a full-time, permanent, manual-testing-focused role spanning Windows desktop/client-server and browser-based applications—not a pure automation or SDET position. This role offers true hybrid flexibility: four remote days and one collaborative day in the Cincinnati office each week. It is a great fit for candidates in the commutable Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana tri-state area.

Requirements

Meaningful hands-on software testing experience and examples of your own testing or defect-validation work.
Clear test cases, actionable bug reports, and productive collaboration with developers.
Experience with desktop, browser-based, or similarly complex software—and interest in building deeper QA expertise.
Ability to attend the Cincinnati office on Wednesdays.
Transferable backgrounds welcome.
You do not need a particular degree, exact title, industry, or rigid number of years.
Engineering, technical support, implementation, and analyst experience can translate well when it includes real testing ownership.

Responsibilities

Own exploratory, regression, and acceptance testing across desktop and web applications.
Turn user stories and acceptance criteria into practical test cases, including edge cases and real user workflows.
Write clear defect reports with reproducible steps, expected versus actual behavior, and supporting evidence; partner with developers to retest fixes.
Keep test documentation useful and current, participate in sprint delivery, and improve coverage and release confidence.
