About The Position

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented QA Engineer who thrives at the intersection of mobile software, hardware integrations, and quality strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years in Software QA/Test

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with BrowserStack, Firebase Test Lab, or similar cloud-based real-device farms.
  • Familiarity with mobile beta distribution platforms (TestFlight, Google Play Console).
  • Knowledge of video streaming protocols (HLS, WebRTC) for security camera integration
  • Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude) to optimize testing workflows, such as generating synthetic test data, analyzing complex crash logs, or streamlining test case creation.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end manual testing and release certification process for our iOS and Android applications.
  • Conduct high-impact manual testing for complex new mobile features, including smoke, sanity, regression, and user-centric acceptance testing prior to App Store and Google Play submissions.
  • Perform rigorous exploratory testing on physical hardware integrations and mobile-specific hardware triggers, specifically focusing on BLE, NFC, and location services.
  • Validate mobile UI/UX consistency across a wide variety of iOS and Android device models and OS versions.
  • Monitor automated test runs within CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous build health.
  • Analyze and triage automation test failures, distinguishing between genuine product defects, flaky scripts, and outdated test cases.
  • Fix, update, and maintain manual test cases and test plans based on automation results and evolving product requirements.
  • Collaborate with Automation Engineers to flag gaps in automated coverage and define clear steps for new automated scripts.
  • Lead the mobile bug life cycle: identify, record thoroughly, and track bugs using Jira.
  • Provide deep-dive technical analysis for engineering teams by capturing device logs, crash reports, and highly reproducible steps using tools like Xcode and Android Studio/ADB.
  • Triage incoming mobile support escalations to identify root causes and translate them into actionable engineering tickets.
