About The Position

This role focuses on ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and quality of migrated data, particularly within document and content management systems. The analyst will be responsible for defining and executing validation strategies, performing data reconciliation, and reporting on migration outcomes. Experience with various content types, including structured data, unstructured documents, and CAD files, is essential. The position involves close collaboration with migration engineers and subject matter experts to track and resolve defects, ensuring successful migration waves.

Requirements

  • 5+ years QA/data validation experience in migration or data engineering projects, ideally including document/content management system migrations.
  • Experience with data reconciliation scripting including record-count comparisons, checksum/hash validation, and metadata-field comparison between source and target.
  • Knowledge of sampling methodology design for defining statistically reasonable spot-QA sample sizes per migration wave and per content type.
  • Experience with version history validation to confirm complete major/minor version chains and correct revision authorship post-migration.
  • Experience with CAD/DGN-specific validation including verifying reference-file integrity and file-open validation post-migration.
  • Experience validating both structured (SAP/OUWM property data) and unstructured (SharePoint document/version) content migrations within the same program.
  • Proficiency in producing wave-level validation reports for review and approval gates.
  • Basic SQL and reporting tool proficiency such as Power BI or Excel with Power Query for reconciliation reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Validate SharePoint and OUWM-related migration completeness, accuracy, metadata quality, version-history preservation, and usability of migrated content.
  • Support wave-level readiness checks, defect tracking, reconciliation reporting, and sign-off.
  • Define and execute migration validation approach, including source-to-target reconciliation, file counts, metadata checks, version-history checks, and sampling rules.
  • Validate migrated SharePoint documents, folders, metadata, and permissions where applicable.
  • Validate ProjectWise document property values.
  • Validate OUWM-related migration outputs, including CAD/DGN files, reference relationships, design document attributes, and SAP Notification/Work Order alignment.
  • Track validation defects and support triage with migration engineers and SMEs.
  • Confirm remediation before wave sign-off.
  • Prepare wave-level validation reports, exception summaries, sign-off evidence, and approval documentation.
