About The Position

This is a contract role for a QA Automation professional in Addison, TX, with a hybrid work arrangement. The role involves being a key individual contributor to Quality Assurance (QA) project teams, ensuring standard Quality practices and processes are followed. The position requires conducting end-to-end testing on applications and technology to validate business, technical, and functional requirements. The QA Automation engineer will design and execute test scripts (manual and automated) to identify defects before production, assist with data management, and ensure timely completion of all required testing deliverables. A significant part of the role involves exposing and mitigating operational risks related to system test plan execution. The candidate must be effective in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple competing priorities and utilizing time management skills to drive project deliverables. This role also requires providing executive status updates to key stakeholders, clearly documenting and communicating risks associated with test strategies and plans, and managing all testing-related risks with preventative actions. Planning, arranging, and facilitating meetings and communications with stakeholders during test planning and throughout development and testing activities is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Middleware Testing (Primary Skill)
  • Selenium (Secondary Skill)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to drive Quality goals while meeting aggressive delivery deadlines.
  • Knowledgeable on the principles of test management and testing process.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Automation skills required using automation tools beyond recording features; BDD Cucumber/ and/or Selenium advanced coding methods expected.
  • QA background with strong analytical skills, ability to decompose requirements into testable cases covering positive, negative, variety of data scenarios.
  • Experience in testing backend services, integrations with upstream / downstream systems.
  • SME expertise in Web service testing. This includes strong understanding of XML schema, tools that support testing web service interface, JSON.
  • SME SQL skills including complex query writing, ability to review schema to gain understanding of db structure, ability to use variety of SQL tools to accomplish required testing.

Responsibilities
