QA Automation Tester
About The Position
ARC Business Solutions Inc. is seeking a QA Automation Tester for a one-year contract position. This role involves providing application testing services for web-based software development projects, with a focus on developing and executing automated UI and API tests within Agile/Scrum environments. The tester will be responsible for various types of testing, including system, integration, regression, and UAT, and will derive test cases from user stories and specifications. Experience with specific tools like Selenium WebDriver, Postman, BrowserStack, TestNG, Jira, and Azure DevOps is required, as is experience with REST APIs, SQL, and backend data validation. The role also involves supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment testing, as well as accessibility and responsive web testing.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience providing application testing services for web-based software development projects
- Minimum 2 years of experience developing and executing automated UI and API tests
- Strong experience working within Agile/Scrum software development environments
- Experience executing system, integration, regression, and UAT testing
- Experience deriving test cases from user stories, functional specifications, and non-functional requirements
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Postman, BrowserStack or equivalent, and TestNG or similar frameworks
- Experience testing REST APIs and web services
- Experience with defect tracking and Agile management tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps
- Experience with SQL and backend data validation
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Experience with Git or similar source control systems
