About The Position

The Connecticut Department of Children & Families is seeking an experienced QA Automation Tester to support the CCWIS (Connecticut's Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in both automation and manual testing, Agile environments, Azure DevOps, and enterprise application testing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of QA Automation Testing experience
• 5+ years of Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Test Plans, Artifacts)
• 5+ years of UFT (Unified Functional Testing) with VBScript or another programming language
• Strong experience with Manual Testing and Test Automation Frameworks
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
• API, UI, Backend, Database & Regression Testing
• Performance, Security, Accessibility & Mobile Testing
• CI/CD and Continuous Integration experience
• Test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Hybrid role (minimum 20% onsite in Hartford, CT)
• Must be local to Connecticut or willing to commute
• U.S. Citizen required
• Background check, fingerprinting, drug screening, and DCF security clearance required

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts
• Perform manual and automated functional, regression, API, UI, and integration testing
• Create test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
• Execute end-to-end testing across enterprise applications
• Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and Business Teams
• Validate acceptance criteria for Agile sprints
• Maintain automation frameworks and testing libraries
• Report defects and track them through resolution
• Support CI/CD testing and continuous quality improvement
