About The Position

Guidehouse is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join their team. This role involves developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts to ensure application quality. The engineer will support UI automation, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, document and verify defects, and communicate test results. The position requires collaboration within an Agile team environment and a strong attention to detail. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship and be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or four (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or application development.
  • Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing, including defect documentation, regression testing, and validation.
  • Experience or familiarity with Playwright, JavaScript, TypeScript, Postman, Swagger, or similar testing tools.
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts, GitHub Actions, and cloud-based application environments such as AWS.
  • Familiarity with web application technologies such as Vue.js, Python, Django, PostgreSQL, or Amazon S3.
  • Ability to work effectively in an Agile team environment and collaborate with developers, product owners, and other testers.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
  • Due to the nature of this role and associated government clearance requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) to be eligible for consideration.
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Python/Django-based web applications.
  • Exposure to performance, load, accessibility, or security testing concepts.
  • Familiarity with AWS monitoring, alerting, or error-tracking tools such as Sentry.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility testing standards.
  • Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts to validate application functionality, user workflows, and regression scenarios.
  • Support UI automation using tools such as Playwright, with a focus on reliable, maintainable test coverage.
  • Assist with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
  • Document defects, reproduce issues, and verify fixes in coordination with developers and product teams.
  • Communicate test results, risks, and blockers clearly during sprint and release activities.
