About The Position
This is a temporary project role for a QA Automation Engineer specializing in Database Testing, located in Austin, TX. The project is estimated to last 2 months with possible extensions. The work setting is hybrid, requiring 2 days per week onsite. Candidates must be able to relocate as required.
Requirements
- Experience with Prioritizing test scenarios and creating execution plans to implement these scenarios (8+ years)
- Experience with Creating test plans, test cases, and preparing test environments (8+ years)
- Experience with Performing moderately complex functional, application, and regression testing (8+ years)
- Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software development methodologies (8+ years)
- Experience with Interpreting requirement documents and updating test documents accordingly (8+ years)
- Experience with Analysis, planning, and management reporting functions (8+ years)
- Experience with Designing automated tests by creating scripts that run database testing functions automatically (8+ years)
- Experience designing automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templates (2+ years)
- Experience with Information architecture and information management methodologies (2+ years)
- Experience with Software technology and software architecture and infrastructure components (2+ years)
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test plans and test cases for database applications
- Perform functional, performance, and regression testing on various databases
- Identify, document, and report defects and issues found during testing
- Work with development and database administration teams to resolve issues
- Develop and maintain automated scripts for database testing
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across various database systems
- Monitor database performance and provide recommendations for optimization
