About The Position
The QA Auditor is responsible for enforcing GMP’s, SSOP’s, TQC, HACCP and USDA requirements. This role involves making decisions based on set procedures, performing computer transactions, writing reports, identifying potential food safety issues and non-conforming products, and auditing products for export. The QA Auditor will also assist in training team members, coordinating sampling plans, and calibrating thermometers.
Requirements
- Must pass a math test with a minimum score of 75%.
- Excellent communication skill, both oral and written.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP(s), and Food Safety Principles.
- Good attendance.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Working knowledge of AS400 preferred.
Responsibilities
- Audits/enforces GMP’s, SSOP’s, TQC, HACCP and USDA requirements.
- Make decisions based on set procedures.
- Perform AS400 computer transactions.
- Write shift summaries.
- Write weekly reports as necessary.
- Identify potential food safety issues and involve the proper department leads/supervisors.
- Identify non-conforming products.
- Audit product for export.
- Assist in coaching/training of team members for proper documentation, product quality and food safety.
- Coordinate a sampling plan for products on hold.
- Record, identify and calibrate thermometers.
- Perform swabbing as needed.
