About The Position

The QA Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products by meticulously designing and executing test plans and cases. This position is responsible for identifying defects and inconsistencies early in the development lifecycle to prevent issues from reaching production. The QA Analyst collaborates closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective testing strategies. By continuously analyzing test results and providing actionable feedback, the QA Analyst helps drive improvements in product functionality and user experience. Ultimately, this role ensures that the final product meets or exceeds the established quality standards and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance or testing roles.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, QTP, or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with programming or scripting languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of performance and security testing principles.
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and technical specifications.
  • Perform manual and automated testing to identify software defects and inconsistencies across various platforms and environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Track, document, and report defects using issue tracking tools, and verify fixes through regression testing.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by providing insights and recommendations to enhance testing processes and product quality.
