This position involves handling parts and updating the company's record system. Responsibilities include receiving, loading, and unloading materials, parts, assemblies, equipment, tools, and supplies. The role also entails assigning, filing, and maintaining clerical records with manual or automated input, maintenance, retrieval, and updating of production data. Verification of equipment, parts, assemblies, and loose items during shipping or receiving of customer items is required. The position will locate and facilitate the flow of materials, parts, assemblies, equipment, tools, and supplies through the ordering process, procurement, and shipping systems. Setup, control, and update of manufacturing process system records to ensure prompt handling according to assigned priority are key duties. Reconciling part numbers and quantities with shipping tags, packing sheets, and labels is also part of the role. The job holder will check for engineering changes, planning, and release errors, and arrange for and facilitate the delivery of materials, parts, or tooling to and from customers. Preparation and processing of work sheet requisitions for the purchase of critically needed materials are necessary. Reading and interpreting work-authorizing documents, drawings, sketches, operation sheets, and engineering orders to facilitate the elimination of shortages is required. Knowledge of the automated production control system, schedules, shortages, manufacturing and test operations, and material availability is essential. Conducting surveillance checks of shipped and received items for damage and workmanship, and verifying that order requirements and inspection outlines are complete, noting deviations from blueprints or specifications, are also responsibilities. Stamping or otherwise approving acceptable items and completing paperwork are part of the process. The role includes storing, issuing, receiving, recording, and identifying materials, assemblies, parts, cutting and hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and portable power tools. Disbursing and delivering chemical, gas, and miscellaneous related items is also required. Checking specifications, maintaining, and recording serial numbers, quantities, conditions, and certification data of calibrated crib items are part of the duties. Validating shipments and maintaining inventory, preparing orders to replenish stock, updating calibrations and certifications, and refurbishing damaged or worn items are also included.
