About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an experienced Python/SQL Developer with a strong background in Capital Markets and modern application development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable solutions using Python, developing and optimizing SQL-based data solutions, and designing microservices in enterprise environments. This role will partner closely with business and technology teams to deliver high-quality applications, data services, and regulatory reporting solutions.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience in Python development
Strong expertise in SQL, including query optimization, performance tuning, and database design
Experience developing and supporting microservices and API-driven architectures
Background working within Capital Markets, including trading, risk, regulatory reporting, or related financial systems
Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and large-scale data environments
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, and Scrum methodologies
Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills

Nice To Haves

Experience with cloud technologies and distributed systems
Knowledge of financial products, trading workflows, and risk management concepts
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices
Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications, APIs, and microservices using Python and related technologies
Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database solutions
Build and support data pipelines, integrations, and reporting solutions across Capital Markets platforms
Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions
Support regulatory, risk, and trading-related initiatives within Capital Markets environments
Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across applications and databases
Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities
Create and maintain technical documentation and development standards
