About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Python Engineer to join our team. This role is primarily focused on coding (70-80%) with a significant portion dedicated to analyzing data and communicating with users (20-30%). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, cloud computing (preferably AWS), containerization, and experience within the capital markets or trading environment. You will be responsible for building tools for collateral management and counterparty risk, focusing on high scalability and solving business problems.
Requirements
- Python
- AWS
- Trading experience
- Containerization (Kubernetes or Docker)
- Equity or Derivatives experience
- 5+ years of experience
- Advanced level Python coding
- Numpy and Pandas experience
- Strong cloud experience (AWS preferred, On Prem/private considered)
- Strong experience with network layer of cloud
- SQL or NOSQL database experience
- Capital Markets / Trading experience (currently working in, or recent experience in middle or front office banking environment)
- Understanding of finance and capital markets
- Banking/trading experience
- Experience working with Risk Management on the business side
Nice To Haves
- Experience with private/on-prem cloud environments
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Docker
