About The Position
We are hiring a Python Developer for a leading Hedge Fund client based in Manhattan, NY. We are looking for a highly skilled, street-smart developer with strong Python and SQL expertise who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven financial environment.
Requirements
- 5-6 years of hands-on experience in Python development
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL (mandatory)
- Experience building backend applications, data pipelines, and working with large datasets
- Strong understanding of data modeling and database concepts
- Experience using LLMs/AI tools to improve development productivity
- Working knowledge of C# (approximately 20-30% of the role)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in financial services, capital markets, trading platforms, or hedge funds
- Experience with ABF (Analytical Base Table) projects or similar data-centric initiatives is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, version control (Git), and CI/CD practices
