About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer with a proven track record of large-scale distributed systems and Kubernetes experience to join a dynamic team with one of our clients. This role offers opportunities to tackle challenging technical problems such as designing and operating low-latency distributed platforms for processing large volumes of real-time trading data, implementing elastic capabilities to handle significant data volumes including peak loads, and developing and modernizing tools for managing cloud resources to accelerate the time-to-market for new features. mthree, the hiring company, is a technology and business consultancy with a global workforce that has been helping clients solve their business and technological challenges since 2010. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Python development.
• Experience in frontend development.
• Experience in REST API design.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of public cloud environments.
• Experience with Linux/Unix.
• Must be local to Montreal.
• Must be currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of SQL and relational/NoSQL databases.
• Basic knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with versioning tools such as Git.
• Knowledge of FIX protocol.
• Understanding of computer hardware.
• Experience with large scale distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and enhancing solutions for Kubernetes configuration management systems.
• Developing tools to manage and support Kafka configurations.
• Considering all aspects of the project life cycle, including proof-of-concept evaluations, coding, technical design, testing, implementation, and deployment of solutions.
• Designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for application development and release processes.
• Supporting security infrastructure.
• Building key management solutions.
