Requirements

  • Strong technical expertise in Python development and Linux/Unix administration.
  • Strong foundation in Python fundamentals, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Strong Linux/Unix knowledge, including command-line tools, process management, permissions, networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Very good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience in building and consuming RESTful services.
  • Hands-on experience working with relational databases.
  • Experience with shell scripting (Bash).
  • Experience with automation and deployment processes in Linux environments.
  • Proficiency in Git for version control.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong skills in debugging and performance tuning.
  • Experience with messaging services such as Kafka.
  • Must reside in the United States or have a valid U.S. address for residence.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Good understanding of containerization and DevOps practices, including Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodology.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Experience with ETL/data processing tools.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
  • Experience in integration testing.
  • Exposure to IoT or edge device integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

  • Developing, debugging, automating, and maintaining robust applications and systems in Linux environments.

  • Conducting code reviews and mentoring junior developers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
