About The Position

This position is part of the Power Generation Division, responsible for NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. The role is based at the Century Oaks Energy Center in Bad Axe, MI. The employee will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, and AC/DC inverters across multiple solar power plants to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operations. This includes maintaining tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations in a safe and efficient condition, performing inspections of fluid systems, mechanical components, and electrical components to identify failures preventing inverter grid power production. The candidate will also support teammates in nearby states, ensuring reliability, operations, and maintenance for assigned sites within the region.

Requirements

High School Grad / GED
1+ years of experience
Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, and AC/DC inverters.
Maintain all tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations in a safe and efficient condition.
Perform inspections of fluid systems, mechanical components, and electrical components.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and electronic issues for solar arrays and inverters.
Support teammates in nearby states.
Ensure reliability, operations, and maintenance for assigned sites.
Manage warranty.
Perform operation and basic maintenance.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and power electronics.
Stewardship of safety and environmental programs.
Supervise NEE employees and contractors.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems.
Manage business duties and inventory.
Operate heavy equipment.
Ensure regulatory compliance.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
