About The Position

This position is part of the Power Generation Division, responsible for NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. The role is based in the Guymon, OK area and involves the operation and maintenance of solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, and AC/DC inverters across multiple solar power plants to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operations. The employee will maintain tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations, conduct inspections of fluid systems, mechanical components, and electrical components, and perform electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting for solar arrays and inverters. This role also supports teammates in nearby states, maintaining reliability, operations, and maintenance for assigned sites in the region.

Requirements

  • High School Grad / GED
  • 1+ years of experience
  • Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)

Responsibilities

  • Operation and maintenance of solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, and AC/DC inverters.
  • Maintain all tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations in a safe and efficient condition.
  • Perform inspections of fluid systems for breaches, mechanical components for breakage or misalignment, and electrical components for failures preventing inverter production.
  • Provide electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting for solar arrays and inverters.
  • Support teammates in nearby states in the region.
  • Maintain reliability, operations, and maintenance for sites in the assigned area.
  • Ensure the perfect execution of PGD processes.
  • Perform duties in safety, contractor management, electrical/electronic/mechanical equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Oversee overall site operations, asset management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Engage in reliability engineering.
  • Manage warranties.
  • Perform basic maintenance.
  • Conduct repairs for electrical and power electronics issues.
  • Stewardship of safety and environmental programs.
  • Supervise NEE employees and contractors.
  • Conduct mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Handle business duties and inventory management.
  • Operate heavy equipment.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
