About The Position

This position is within the Power Generation Division, responsible for all of NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. The role is based in Guymon, OK, and involves the operation and maintenance of solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, and AC/DC inverters across multiple solar power plants to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operations. The employee will maintain tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations, conduct inspections of electrical and mechanical components, and perform troubleshooting for solar arrays and inverters. The position also supports teammates in nearby states and maintains site reliability, operations, and maintenance for the assigned area.

Requirements

  • High School Grad / GED
  • 1+ years of experience
  • Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)

Responsibilities

  • Operation and maintenance of solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, AC/DC inverters
  • Maintain all tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations in a safe and efficient condition
  • Provide inspections of watch, electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting for solar arrays and inverters
  • Perform daily inspections for fluid system breaches, mechanical component breakage or misalignment, and electrical component failures
  • Support teammates in nearby states in the region
  • Maintain reliability, operations, and maintenance for sites in the assigned area
  • Ensure the perfect execution of PGD processes
  • Perform duties in safety, contractor management, electrical/electronic/mechanical equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Oversee overall site operations, asset management, and regulatory compliance
  • Engage in reliability engineering
  • Manage warranty
  • Perform electrical and power electronics troubleshooting and repairs
  • Stewardship of safety and environmental programs
  • Supervise NEE employees and contractors
  • Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs
  • Handle business duties and inventory management
  • Operate heavy equipment
  • Ensure regulatory compliance
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
