About The Position

This role is responsible for operating material handling equipment to move pallets and products to their assigned storage locations within the warehouse. The Put Away Driver will ensure accurate inventory records by scanning and verifying products, placing them in correct locations, and maintaining WMS data. Safety protocols, equipment inspections, and maintaining a clean work area are also key aspects of this position. Collaboration with other warehouse teams is essential for smooth operations.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Prior warehouse experience required
  • Basic math and reading skills for order accuracy and inventory tracking
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and operate machinery for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures (including refrigerated/freezer environments, if applicable)

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • put away or forklift experience strongly preferred
  • Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain certification through company training)
  • Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment to move pallets and products to assigned storage locations
  • Accurately scan and verify product using RF scanners or warehouse management system (WMS)
  • Place inventory in correct bin/slot locations according to warehouse layout and storage guidelines
  • Inspect pallets and products for damage prior to and during put away; report discrepancies or damage immediately
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by confirming location transfers in the WMS
  • Follow proper stacking, weight limits, and safety protocols to prevent product damage or workplace injuries
  • Conduct pre- and post-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance issues
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety standards
  • Collaborate with receiving, inventory control, and picking teams to ensure smooth warehouse operations
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed
