We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our receiving dock and inventory flow. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely receipt, storage, and distribution of goods across the property while maintaining organization, safety, and compliance with company standards.

Requirements

  • Prior shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience required; hospitality experience preferred
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems preferred
  • Knowledge of safety standards and material handling practices
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a warehouse/loading dock environment with varying temperatures
  • Ability to operate carts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all shipping and receiving activities for the property
  • Oversee the receiving, inspection, and documentation of all incoming deliveries
  • Ensure all goods are accurately logged, labeled, and distributed to the appropriate departments
  • Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO)
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with departments to support operational needs
  • Inspect deliveries for quality, accuracy, and damage, and resolve discrepancies with vendors
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory transactions
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety in loading dock and storage areas
  • Train, coach, and support team members to ensure efficient and consistent performance
  • Enforce safety protocols and proper material handling procedures
  • Coordinate outgoing shipments and returns with vendors as needed
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Finance, and department leaders for inventory control and cost management
  • Adhere to and uphold company attendance and punctuality standards, ensuring reliability and consistent coverage to support operational needs
