About The Position

The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for managing the flow of supplies and specialty products across multiple locations to ensure products are available for patient care in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm out of our Plymouth location. Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of experience in materials management related position such as purchasing, inventory management, or hospital supply chain.
  • Ability to Comply with company policies, procedures, practices, and business ethics guidelines.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
  • Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance.
  • Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately, and meet deadlines.
  • Prioritize workload effectively.
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally in face-to-face, phone and email interactions.
  • Apply principles of thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the purchase order process, receiving, and replenishment of all clinical supplies for multiple TCO clinics.
  • Continually monitors and manages inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies for daily operations.
  • Identify, resolve, and communicate product availability issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Coordinates inventory management activities.
  • Assists with value analysis and product trials as requested.
  • Oversees and coordinates physical inventory process at the designated sites.
  • Manages par levels and maintains accuracy within the inventory system.
  • Assists with new user setup, training, and staff questions regarding MotionMD.
  • Monitors product expiration dates.
  • Assists with new clinic/new room set up; Stocking of exam rooms/procedure rooms.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned.
