Purchasing Specialist (on-site in any WCI US location)

Requirements
- High school diploma (required)
- In lieu of 4-year degree, 2-year degree in a relevant field with equivalent work experience (required)
- 2+ years Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook (required)
- Must be able to sit on-site within any of our US locations (Hiawatha, IA; Cedar Falls, IA; Des Moines, IA; East Moline, IL, Crystal Lake, IL; Grovetown, GA)
Nice To Haves
- 4-year degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration/Management or other relevant field (preferred)
- 1+ years Supply Chain Experience (preferred)
- 1+ years MRP experience (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Executing daily purchasing activities, including creating and issuing purchase orders for supplies, packaging, and parts across multiple parts commodities
- Monitoring open orders and proactively follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time, in-full delivery
- Communicating regularly with suppliers to confirm deliveries, resolve issues while maintaining strong working relationships
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies related to pricing, quantities, or delivery performance
- Collaborating cross-functionally with operations and supply chain teams to support production needs and material availability
- Contributing to continuous improvement by following best practices and identifying opportunities to streamline purchasing processes
- Performing other duties as assigned
