About The Position

Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist for a full-time, on-site opportunity in Fort Worth, Texas. This position supports manufacturing operations through hands-on procurement of electronic components, mechanical parts, consumables, and other production materials while coordinating with domestic and international suppliers. The Purchasing Specialist manages procurement activities to support the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality acquisition of materials, components, and services required for manufacturing operations. The position has a strong focus on material control, supplier coordination, purchase-order management, inventory availability, and procurement data accuracy. This role works extensively with electronic components, mechanical parts, and related manufacturing materials sourced from global suppliers, including vendors in Asia and North America. The Purchasing Specialist will also work cross-functionally with production, engineering, logistics, and finance to maintain material availability and support operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a Related Field REQUIRED
  • 2–4 Years of Purchasing or Procurement Experience REQUIRED
  • Electronics or Manufacturing Procurement Experience REQUIRED
  • Experience Purchasing Electronic Components, Mechanical Parts, or Manufacturing Materials REQUIRED
  • ERP System Experience – SAP or Similar REQUIRED
  • Purchase Order Processing and Management Experience REQUIRED
  • Material Master Data Management Experience REQUIRED
  • Supplier / Vendor Management Experience REQUIRED
  • Inventory and Material Availability Management Experience REQUIRED
  • Strong Negotiation, Analytical, and Problem-Solving Skills REQUIRED
  • Strong Written and Verbal English Communication Skills REQUIRED
  • Mandarin Language Proficiency REQUIRED
  • Ability to Work Fully On-Site in Fort Worth, TX REQUIRED
  • Ability to Commute Reliably to ZIP Code 76177 REQUIRED
  • Candidates must have hands-on procurement experience using SAP or a comparable ERP system. Experience should include purchase-order processing and procurement workflows rather than general exposure to an ERP system.
  • This position requires hands-on purchasing experience within electronics or manufacturing. General administrative, logistics, warehouse, or supply-chain experience without direct purchasing/procurement responsibility does not satisfy the core requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase electronic components, mechanical parts, consumables, and manufacturing materials
  • Issue and manage purchase orders through ERP systems
  • Monitor purchase orders to support on-time material delivery
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and order documentation
  • Verify material master data before purchase-order release
  • Maintain accurate purchase codes, lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQ), pricing, and vendor codes
  • Monitor inventory levels and material availability
  • Track daily material shortages
  • Respond quickly to material shortages and supply issues
  • Coordinate procurement activities with manufacturing requirements
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with domestic and global suppliers
  • Work with suppliers located in Asia and North America
  • Monitor supplier delivery performance
  • Evaluate supplier performance against delivery expectations
  • Follow up on supplier performance issues
  • Initiate and track corrective actions when required
  • Support supplier selection and evaluation activities
  • Assist with pricing, lead-time, and purchasing negotiations
  • Coordinate supplier communication to support production schedules and material availability
  • Support inventory management and demand-planning activities
  • Monitor material availability against production requirements
  • Help prevent production shortages and excess inventory
  • Track lead times and purchasing requirements
  • Maintain accurate material and vendor information within ERP systems
  • Coordinate resolution of material issues affecting manufacturing operations
  • Work closely with production teams to understand material requirements
  • Partner with engineering on component and material needs
  • Coordinate with logistics regarding incoming materials and global supply activity
  • Work with finance to support accurate purchasing and procurement processes
  • Align procurement activities with operational and production requirements
  • Support procurement activities involving international suppliers and should understand the fundamentals of international trade, import/export processes, and customs compliance.
